We are Torchbearers! Welcome to Capernwray 2012!
This is a site designed specifically to keep you up to date with all the Holidays news and a place to visit time and time again. All our Christian holidays are listed and can be accessed by clicking the tab at the top of the screen or you can visit our programme at a glance to see all the holidays we offer. Alternatively if you know what you want to book then go straight to our bookings page.
You'll find you always have something to do during your holiday with us. As well as taking part in teaching times, social events and meals, we also have fantastic facilities for a wide variety of activties for you to enjoy.
If you've been to one of our Christian holidays before, you can look for yourself, friends or family in one of our galleries, or keep up to date with all the lastest info by reading our regularly updated blog. Alternatively why not take a look at the downloads page which gives a flavour of the teaching from a number of our speakers this coming year.
Thousands of people of all ages have been enjoying a great selection of holidays at Capernwray Hall since 1947. Some of our first German guests even gave themselves and us a special name: 'Fackeltraeger' (Torchbearers), after hearing about Jesus Christ at Capernwray. They left carrying the Light of the World–Forever!
The Olympic Flame will arrive in UK on the 19th May 2012, passing near Capernwray on the 22ndJune, with 8000 British torchbearers carrying the torch towards London. Having been lit in Greece by the rays of the sun, the flame is extinguished as the games end on the 12th August; symbolic, captivating, but temporary.
We'll watch the Olympics and we'll probably even run our own 'Games' too, but we will concentrate on the One who lives in us, and the Eternal Flame, Jesus Christ.
